Nat Hentoff was laid off by the Village Voice this past week. As a teenage boy I read the Voice for two reasons. The escort service and porn movie ads were one. Hentoff was the other.

Seems to me that the Voice axing Hentoff would be like 60 Minutes getting rid of Morley Safer.
