ikeychain anyone?

So I snagged a shuffle off of the 'bay for a reasonable price and then a friend pointed out a must-have accessory (it never ends, right?!) the ‘ikeychain’.

Has anyone tried one of these? Are they really as cool as they make 'em out to be? And hey, what’s with them not selling them to anyone outside the continental U.S.?!

it seems kinda…expensive…I think you could get something just as good, or about as good, for considerably less money.

They look great. I can’t imagine wanting to mix my iPod Nano with my keys though! Maybe for a woman who keeps them in a purse. But a Shuffle is much better shaped for such abuse.

I have a Contour Design case on my 4th generation iPod. It allows stuff to plug in while it’s in the case so I only have to take it out to put it on my Bose Sound Dock.

If the vendor doesn’t want to sell outside the U.S. it’s probalby mostly about the hassles of foreign currencies, shipping and possible tariffs or other variables. If they are only a vendor someone else may be selling them to a wider audience.

Yeah, that’s true about the keychain aspect John. At first I thought it to be more a kind of catchy marketing idea…hadn’t really thought of anyone actually tossing their shuffle in with their keys.

it would work but i think its kinda dumb. like if i wanna change songs i just wanna reach into my pocket and change it…not root through my keys and try to find it in there. i wouldnt get it but thats just me…it may even offer a bit more in the line of protection however.

…I would break that thing by looking at it.

its expensi e, and also the shuffle is about to stop being produced theres rumors that the nano is doing too good for the shuffle, so if you gonna get excesories for it you might want to get them now

(im not trying 2 hijack your thread i promise)
from what i here from my friends the shuffle isnt that great at all but i am very intrested in getting one … how is it …for $129 it seems like a steal but i dont know any one that has one so can you tell me if its any good

if you feel i am trying 2 hijack this thread i will dealete my post and start my own i just thought wile we were on the subject i could ask

dorfman, I think it depends upon your application. There’s a 512 mb and 1 G shuffle, I would have preferred the 1 G size as it can carry about 240 songs but it is more expensive than its little sister which has a 120 song capacity. I already have a mini and use it a lot. I run my stero via the mini and use it for skateboarding and unicycling regularly.

My skater pals prefer the shuffle because of how light it is and the simplicity of the controls. There’s not much interest in reading the screen whey you’re in the middle of a run, just a quick flick and your on to the next song if the current one doesn’t suit the terrain.

I plan to use one of my pods for audiobooks and the other for music when I travel. That’s where the shuffle comes in.

So yeah, I think it is a good deal for the price: simple, hardy, and light.

so would chuck noris! lmao…where is that guy anyways? he hasnt posted lately.

he was killed by a pirate

That just seems like impact damage waiting to happen, with an expensive device getting all clunked around with keys and such…
