Idling, what feet positions?

Been riding for three weeks tommorow, mastered the forward bit, can free mount,
with assist of a hop and can hop for as long as my muscles can take it (up kerbs
down kerbs, over grates etc. Don’t mean to show off, but I found this easy and
got it after 3-4 attempts, find its easier to stay by canstantly hopping about 2
times a second, also may have something to do with I practise trials riding on
Mountain bikes and the bunny-hop is one of the most basic moves.)

Anyway now I feel the natural progression to my skills would be the idling bit,
and after maybe moving I see it as the most important skill, problem is, I can’t
do it. Is the movement in 90degress from about bottom of pedal stroke? (I
thought you had no power in this position.) Also I seem to have the rocking bit
sorted but (if you think of a clock face.) the movement is more 9-6 rather than
8-4. Is this right? When I let go of a wall the unicycle shoots out from
underneath me?

Please help Thanks
