I’m pretty sure it’s Darth McVader.
On facebook he is known as unipiper: https://www.facebook.com/theunipiper?sk=info
So then it looks like his name is Brian Kidd. And he’s serious about his “uni-piping”!
One question:
Bike shorts under the kilt? Anything?
I’m not sure that I really want to know the answer to this one.
Me neither. I wondered, then I realized I don’t need to know the answer!
I also don’t think we need to know which of the services listed on the sandwich board were next on his agenda. . . .
But seriously (or not, if that word can’t apply here), I’ve always wanted to learn to play the bagpipes, and it has occurred to me that it would be quite something to play them while riding.
I keep getting asked if its me!!!
OK, I will bite. Is it you?
If not, can you play bagpipes and ride while riding a unicycle? After all, you are Scottish!
Scott
Regrettably no… I never did learn
I thought that there would be a lot more posts with the Unipiper in it.
I feel sorry for him though. He doesn’t seem to own a good Muni.
Kind of like how Henry Ford never had a good Cadillac
The unipiper just reinforces the general public’s opinion that unicyclists are weirdo freaks instead of talented riders looking like athletes.
There are; they just aren’t here.
I just wish he were a member of this community so we could know a little more about him besides his being a unicycle/Star Wars/bagpipe nerd.
Ha! But actually, he had all kinds of great (non-Ford) cars. If you ever make it to Detroit, the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village are must-sees. His collection goes way beyond cars, to include aircraft, power generation, musical instruments, bicycles (even a unicycle!) and more. Some of my own pictures from our most recent visit there
A few months ago I was asked “Where are your bag pipes?” while riding on the Burke Gilman Trail.
Dave,
Can you tell us how to get the fire to come out of the pipes?
Ooooo. You pawned unipiper!!!
So many fun potential comebacks to that one… Hmmm, let’s see:
- In the trunk.
- Of my elephant (requires the one above).
- Emperor Palpatine borrowed them.
- Behind the refrigerator.
- In my spaceship
- On the hood of my car, with my flamethrowers.
- Next to my other wheel.
