Ok we played this all through highschool on our mobile phones.
the game goes: a person posts some lyrics out of a song like say:
“Today is gunna be the day that there gunna throw it back to you
By now, you should have some how realised what you gotta do
I don’t believe that anybody Feels the way I do about you now”
and then it is everyone elses job to go “shit, i know that song” and then post the artist and song title:
Oasis - Wonderwall
The first person to get it gets to go next and post there own lyrics.
The rules are one is not allowed to use the internet or books, it all has to be from ones brane.
Although there is no real way to enforce the rules, we will rely on trust.
lets go(an easy one to start it off):
“About the long forgotten dockside guarantees
How there were no V-dayheroes in 1973
How we sailed into Sydney Harbour
Saw an old friend but couldn’t kiss her
She was lined, and I was home to the lucky land”
“Ah we can go when we want to the night is young and so am i
And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet
And surprise em with the victory cry”
freedoms just a word today freedoms just a word, when someone takes your word away its seldom ever heard, so take your word and keep it safe and shout it loud and clear, and carry on, don’t run away…
“wake up wake up my god this is not a test
and its not to late to come clean
get it off your chest
so steady your hand before your face and concentrate
theres got to be some stable ground left to walk on”
i really love this song…so much that i memorized the lyrics by heart
here we go:
“Forcing it off with their hands
The trapdoor came undone
Above our heads it swung
The privilege had been won
Being drunk on their plan, they lifted up the sun”
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our souls
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll
Woe oh oh oh oh oh
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven
where is the moment we needed the most
you kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
they tell me your blue skys fade to gray
they tell me your passions gone away
and i dont need no carrying on
you stand in the line just to hit a new low
your faking a smile with the coffee you go
I wrote the gospel on giving up
(You look pretty sinking)
But the real bombshells have already sunk
(Prima donnas of the gutter)
At night we’re painting your trash gold while you sleep
Crashing not like hips or cars,
No, more like p-p-p-parties
Toughy… Frank Zappa, Who Are the Brain Police?..I think that’s right.
“Said hey you you’re lookin’ very suspicious
I said relax man get off my back
I said relax man get off my back
I, I, I ain’t opposed to seeking justice
But you’re goin’ about it all wrong”
