Sounds interesting - so why do you want to learn German?
I think it will be very difficult to learn German that way. There should be CDs or DVDs available which help you better than a forum, where you only have written German. But you also need to hear and speak.

Kelly, I’ve the impression that Wunschkonzert must have had a great impact on you. 
I would add you instantly if it wasn’t MSN (which I have always problems with). Btw, the output of your translator is really bad and only completly understandable by guessing what you typed in English…
Anyway, nice to see someone wanting to learn German. If there are any other means of communication than MSN, feel free to contact me…

use the TV and use DVDs. that is how I learned. Watch a movie u know good in English in German even with undertitles it helps. I u know the movie it is not hard to follow but your mind is following the german words. or get drunk and go to a bar where all they do is speak german. these are about the easiest ways to learn that I know.

But don´t ever ever ever try to learn swearing from german moviez!!! They always translate things like MF or BS* with “Dummkopf” (fool) or “Mist” (rubbish)…
das geht aber in beide richtungen… Drecks… is translated dirty Pig das ist richtig peinlich und blöd. wenn mann die sprache kennt das ist es ein Problem wenn nicht ist es wurst…!
Warum reden denn hier fast alle Englisch mit ihm, er will doch deutsch lernen!
