I really can’t manage riding everywhere on my 20 inch Torker with the original saddle anymore I want speed I want smooth, I want a brake!!! can anybody help me with my trauma, because I can’t decide wether to buy a MUni first or a coker with a roach cover on the miyata saddle, what have you done? Thanks y’all
Re: I want (wait scratch that) NEED A COKER!!!
I can certainly understand you dilemma. I decided to get the Coker first
since there is an abundance of roads to ride on. To ride off-road I have to
travel to trails that, while relatively close, are far enough away that it
can be impractical to ride to them.
Further, I generally ride alone. I think that off-road unicycling is best
enjoyed when riding with a group.
This question has come up many times and ultimately the answer depends on
the asker.

Re: I want (wait scratch that) NEED A COKER!!!
If I was in your position I would most definately get the MUni first then worry
about the Coker later…
-Dylan
I’m going for the Muni option…
Phil, just me
Hey I know! you buy the Coker, I’ll buy the MUni, and every once in a while, we’ll switch! How’s that?
-so let it be said-
p.s. I would recommend asking your mom-- she doesn’t seem to trust you enough to ride to my house, let alone out on some trail where absolutely no one is around.
She said something about older, wait till…, wait till you’re older? something like that but when she sees that I want a MUni she will definetely DEFINETELY, be very happy that I just want a coker, I started a coker fund today, I put a little picture of the coker deluxe on a jar( I have a dollar so far) I also live in Utah, where there are trails everywhere. no joke. Well, Jonny, I could buy a coker and you a MUni, but like michael said, we would want to ride in pairs. or groups, so…ummm…yeah peace y’all
You will get more “babes” with the muni.
Is that term still used?
dan
Until you can get both,
Buy one (it doesn’t matter which) and get a cardboard cut-out of the other one!
Where do you go about making or buying cardboard cutouts, I have always wondered that.
thanks
Mabye you could call someone at Unicycle.com as ask them about selling a cardboard cut-out of every unicycle they sell. That really would be neat.
A Coker is considerably more fun just because it’s a Coker. You can have fun on the tarmac, on smooth trails, even on quite bumpy trails. It can feel unstoppable, blasting through mud patches and over rough ground.
Trouble is, the wheel isn’t too strong, so you do have to be a bit careful. Also, it’s bulky to store, or to transport in the car.
The Muni is much more versatile. A 24 or 26 Muni can go almost anywhere, with much less worry about the rim buckling. Tyres and tubes are cheaper too. It’s easier to store or transport.
But it isn’t a Coker. ;0)
You could try this: get either a 26 or a 28 (700c) for the virtues of portability, storability, durability, and tyre availability, then get two or three sets of cranks ranging from about 160 mm down to something really short. Put a cheap set of pedals on each of the more extreme pairs of cranks. Swapping cranks will take 2 mins. Hey presto! A Muni which will cope with whatever you can throw at it, which can be converted to a road processing mile monster by adding the short cranks whenever you want.
But it won’t be a Coker. ;0)
Coker disaster.
I’d be cautious with ordering direct from Coker tho if my experience is anything like the experiences of others…I ordered on May 17th and still haven’t got my complete assembly yet, and they don’t seem to follow up on their emails or phone calls…I’d probably go thru a third party vendor and at least have someone who can fix things if they go wrong from COKER’s side…Kind of depressing getting the box all torn to shreds and having no seat, pedals or other acessories inlcuded…yikes!
Re: Re: I want (wait scratch that) NEED A COKER!!!
Sorry, this Kokanee prevented me from Quoting correctly, you’ll have to make it out on your own
