So how many of you over here own Wiis? Do you guys own other consoles and how does the Wii compare?
Someone parked his in the office and I had a go at it some weeks back. I must say it’s pretty cool. The games on the ps3 and Xbox360 may look better but they aren’t as engaging and plain fun to watch as Wii games.

Playstation = Awesome Graphics
Xbox = Good games
Nintendo = The BEST… by far.
And PC > all
Yea, I’m kinda psyched about the whole Wii deal. It’d launch here mid month or in Feb.
I own 2 DSes (a regular and a lite) and I got my mom hooked on the games. She NEVER plays games and that she’s hooked to the extent that I had to get another one for myself speaks volumes. Nintendo seems to have hit on jackpot with the latest consoles.

ps3 is something like awesome, so it owns
now they just need to establish a good array of games for it, and there is no real use for anything better, maybe incorporate controllers like the Wii.
Making more than 7 consoles for their next release would be a good start.
They HAVE tried to copy the Wii controller’s motion sensor features. BUT it’s apparently such an afterthought no games are using it. And there’s no vibration either so that sucks.
There’s a ps3 and an xbox360 around here as well but no games on either attract me at all. The closest was Viva Pinata which looks happy and perhaps Gears of War if you’re into shooters. But even GoW is like your run-of-the-mill shooter except with better graphics.
Wii is going to run themselves into the ground with their controllers. No one is going to want to spend all that money to make games for the Wii, and then make them compatible with the 360, and the PS3. They’d make more money just making games for the 360 and the Ps3
The only thing I play is a FC Twin. It is a third party console that plays both NES and SNES games.

Not true. There are regular gamepads that you can buy for the Wii. Some games use those. And the wiimote can actually be turned on the side and used like a regular gamepad too if you don’t want to spend the money.
And hey, Nintendo’s got Pokemon, Zelda and the Mario franchises to keep it afloat.
