I quit smoking!!!!

yep, its been like a 2 months now, and today i found a cigarette in my car and did NOT smoke. I was proud of myself. But i thot of an analogy about smoking and i came up with this.

Smoking is like a hot psych ex bf/gf. It seems like they are every where u go. and sometimes u get that need to get back with them and when u see them in public. you might get a little jealous. But deep in your heart. U know that for the long run u are better off without them. Becus given enough time. They will kill you. Or atleast try a couple times

lol i thot of that myself.
What do you guys think?

Awesome man! I have a cousin that “quit” for a while, but sh’e is back too it now. I’ll pray you have better self control and a better sense of self preservation than her.

idk its been like 2 months now, and EVERYONE i hang out with smokes and ive been good, so hopefully i will keep being good lol

Yeah, that’s awesome!
Hope you don’t get back to it!

Quitting smoking is easy. My friend has done it at least a dozen times.

well i did it a bunch to, it lasted a day once all the way up to a month and then now lol

I think you can do it!

Good luck staying away!

well done!

Hey man, that’s good to hear! Congratulations.

I’m trying to get 1 of my coworkers to quit.

Good for you Brendon! Some people never manage it. The effects of smoking are hard to take seriously until you can feel them accumulating as you age, so it’s hard for young people to quit. If you stay quit, your quality of life will surely be better, at least health-wise.

Spudman was making a joke. It’s easy to quit, but it’s much harder to stay quit!

Maybe some of your friends will also follow your example and decide to quit as well. The sooner you try the easier it is.

Congratulations! How many cigarettes or packs a day were you smoking when you quit? I also quit-cold turkey-at the age of 20 (33 years ago! :astonished: ) after starting at age 13, and by the time I eventually quit I was up to TWO pack a day! And back then, a pack was like 55 cents…in a machine no less! One of the best health decisions you’ll ever make!

Congartulations, and good luck with staying off em.

Quitter.

Good job man. I’ve had many close family members quit smoking (and several who have quit several times) and I acknowledge how hard it is. Keep it up!

Who’s the wiseguy with the fire extinguisher?

Me, fighting with them… they’re soo cold yet so funny!

Congrats! This is a great achievement for sure. I quit about 1.5 years ago after having been a “strong” smoker for some 10 years or so.

There’s not one single moment that I regret my decision now. I really don’t miss it anymore at all.

And I’m very happy about all the advantages gained: health, money, not addicted, no stink, better endurance in all fields, less worries and I could keep going on… There are so many benefits.

So yeah, just stick to your decision and you won’t regret it.

thanks to u and everyone else
i was up to half a pack a day pretty much, the main reason i quit tho was becus my buyer was going to arizona so i needed to quit, but im sure it wuldnt be to hard to find another buyer lol.

Do you guys like my analogy?
Thats the main reason i posted this thread

there is an ad here in aussie land that says

imagine if smoking were you friend,it would keep you away from you friends ,take money off you every week and send you on errends in the middle of the night, if you do this for smokeing what does it do for you
