I need someone to do a Unicycle Demo at a Motorcycle Event.

Hi All,

I am looking for a Unicycle Club or Group that can do a Demonstration at the 2013 FIM - Trial World Championship. This is a Trials Motorcycle competition being held near Chattanooga, TN on Memorial Day Weekend.

We are expecting 7,000 to 10,000 spectators, and we would like to have a Unicycle demo as part of the entertainment for the weekend. We already have a Bicycle Trials Demo and Vintage Motorcycle Trials Demo in addition to a concert and lots of vendor and promo booths. Also, since this is a Trials event, we could set up a Unicycle Trials if anyone is interested.

Please email me at TrialsUSGP@gmail.com or check out the website for more info http://TrialsUSGP.com or http://TrialsTrainingCenter.com

Thank you,

I could use someone to wash and wax my cars. I hate washing cars slightly more than I hate seeing pollen all over gloss black paint…

Oh, and can someone loan me a truck so I can haul some construction debris to the dump? Promise I’ll sweep it out real good when I’m done.

Maestro8,

I hope these help you find what you need. I’m not sure where you live, but where I’m from, when you are in need of something you ask people who know about that subject.

Have a nice day,

Carey

Regardless of where you’re from, I can tell you where you are, and it ain’t where people post about unicycling.

See up at the top, between the dark blue bars, where it says “Non-unicycling Discussion”? Yeah…

The unicycle forum is that way —> General Unicycling Discussions

You’re welcome.

There’s a group on Facebook called Unicycle Chat. A lot of trials riders read that regularly. You should ask there as well.

Perhaps Carey put this in “non unicycle discussion”, because its not a unicycling event (yet)? And, pardon my forum admin ignorance, but is there a way to move this thread over there?

Regardless of where this post ends up, let me vouch for the TTC - they are a great bunch of people, with a great location for bike and MC trials, and the championship event Carey is referring to is probably the biggest MC trials event in North America - their offer to involve other forms of trials should be taken as an invitation to share talent to like minded people, not an invitation to be a spectacle.

If I was going to be anywhere near there I’d go as a spectator ; sadly, I’m nowhere near qualified to demo…yet

Sam

I wish I was near enough to go

I’m kinda sucky at uni trials, but I bet those motor bike trials people would think it was cool. Balance is balance, motorcycle trials is next to bike trials which is next to uni trials kinda.

I hope some uni riders go to this event. I bet you will be very popular. A guy let me ride his motorcycle trials bike once and it was super cool ! Go there if you can !

I got a PM about this event because I live nearby.

I’m not a trials rider, so it’s not something I would attend.

Hey Carey, I think you should contact Josh at Unicycle.Com, he might be interested in bringing thier exhibit to the event, so not only unicycles, but also teaching and demo stuff. This would probably be a bigger draw for your spectators and it would also be “a reason” for UDC to attend and possibly a way to attract other unicyclists.

There may be some trials riders in NC, maybe get on the Facebook and ask…

really Ben, you should go

I have decades of experience with motorcycles, yet only started uni riding a few years ago. To motorcyclists, it looks real hard. Uni riders are wheeling the entire track! Sure uni’s aren’t fast or powerful as motorcycles, but don’t discount motorcyclists respect for the concept and the balance it takes to ride a uni off road.

I am sure just going would meet you up with lots of folks who would like a basic lesson on just how to ride a uni across level ground. In their minds, we are the wheelie kings ! I am sure it would be a good time, and that trials motorcycle riders are quite envious, desiring, of uni riding knowledge. They are masters of balance also.

Plus , if they let you try their trials bike, it will be a gas, gas ,gas ! Well, ok , likely just a Gas Gas, or a Montesa. I so wish I was close enough to go.

a guy riding a Gas Gas

You know you want to see that live.

Thank you

Thank you all for the good information…I will follow those leads.

Samstoney - Thank you for the kind words. We are looking forward to the event and when you are back up our way, come by and say Hi!

Thanks again to everyone…
