in which you can check your grades online?
When I went to school they just posted your Social Security Number, name, and address on the teacher’s door along with the grade you got. I don’t think those computer things are safe. Too easy to hack the system and get personal info.

Actually they just posted the last 4 digits of the SSN next to the grade. No other info. That way it hid the names of who got the grade so you couldn’t figure out (easily) who got an F or an A. Usually the results from midterms and such were posted on the professor’s door as soon as the grading was done.
If you are paranoid you could ask the school to issue you a student ID number that is different from your SSN just to keep your SSN more safe. I don’t think many people did that though. I didn’t. It would have been another number to remember.
my professors post grades by partial ssn too, but they all use different numbers. sometimes its last 4, last 5, first 5 or some crazy mix… if someone really wanted to they could look through em and get some numbers.
it is by school id number and some pin number the school gives you,
and the teachers also post in there classes, some do it by birthday
