I just love my Xtracycle FreeRadical. I was able to bring a big spool home from work with it tonight.

LOL a T 1100 with 3spd bars and no hand grips :smiley: you should send that pic to Trek…im sure they would get a kick out of that.

there is a shop in town that has one for 275$ i think,ive been looking at it but i keep waiting for my friend to sell his Longjohn.

The Trek is only temporary. I’m waiting on an old GT mountain bike frame from a friend of mine. I’ve got an old Schwinn mtb frame hanging in the garage, but I cut the brake bosses off the fork for my first 29er unicycle. That’s why I haven’t put grips on it yet. The bars are Albatros bars from Rivendell. They’re cool in the fact that they will take bar-end shifters. I ordered the Xtracycle last month from their web site while they had free shipping on everything. I paid $299 for it. I’ve got some WideLoader racks for it too, but I haven’t put them on yet. I’ve been using a BOB trailer for a couple years and this is much better solution for me. I can only put about 50 pounds on the BOB trailer before it gets hard to handle. I’ve over 100 pounds on the Xtracycle and it still handles like a bike.

I doesn’t feel like a tandem at all. I don’t even notice that it’s longer.

I was at a bike shop a couple months ago and saw someone installing one of those Xtracycle things on his bike. A strange contraption but looks to be quite solid and functional.

By the way I also love the Muni! I had to replace the miyata handle (ripped it in a day, but i expected that) and I redid the seat to make it more comfy for my particlur @$$. Also I took the cranks off and re-antisiezed them and gave the splines a good cleaning.

I’ve been giving the beast its recommended dialy value of blood and dirt, too Mojoe, so don’t worry.
