I learned a valuable lesson...

So this is for all of those who are having their first uniwinter. I just gave a little go to coasting on ice. I locked the wheel and thought let’s see how far I can get (about two meters). Well, don’t try that, if you are not wearing elbow pads. I wasn’t wearing any. Damn. It really hurts. Now I’ll just put those elbow pads on and go try it again. Maybe I should get a helmet soon.

Wow, I think, if properly padded up, and learning in a natural progression, Ice-Grinds could become very fun, not to mention crowd pleasing and video worthy

Great Idea!

Hmmm, I perhaps ‘grind’ comes from the jagged pedal stomping on ledges, perhaps grind isn’t the most suitable word.

Something that involves the word ‘ice’ and doesn’t involve the word ‘slide’ would be great, I think. (although, I can’t think of any)

Hmm. Maybe something like ‘wheellock’. I also like the sound of ‘ice-grind’. ‘Ice-Slide’ sounds okay to me.

Maybe someone who has tried this before might have some tips for the name.

Uni-skate?

Uni-skating?

Possibly feeble, but:

Uniskate?
Ice coast/ice glide (depending on how you do the trick)?
