October 14th, Seattle, 45 degrees fahrenheit. Chances are we were the only ones waterskiing within 100 miles of Seattle, but we did it, as frigid as it may be. Definitely the last ski of the season. It was socked in with clouds and fog all day, and it was FREEZING, but we all skied (my uncle, me, and two of his buddies). We actually took a jug of water heated in a crab pot over a propane stove to pour down our wetsuit collars just before we jumped in. It worked, but if you had to take more than one try to get up, all that nice delicious warmth was renewed with icey lakewater… It was a blast!
Dress up like Santa and go water skiing in late December. But bundle up more. A full dry suit would be handy. <need a Santa smiley>
I can’t believe you chose that activity over the very nice (and much warmer) ride around Mercer Island with me, Harper, and Irene. The rain held off, the traffic was light, and none of us needed to pour hot water down our shirts before mounting our cokers. We even got lost, which added to the adventure. And this was supposed to be your weekend to organize… You need to get your priorities straight.
wakeboard
much funner
wake surfing is the way to go!
that would get boring too fast
no way, you can do heaps of cool tricks on them.
do more cool tricks on a wakeboard
well dah!
that doesnt mean wake surfing would be boring though.
youd always be going slow
boring
you go slow on a unicycle, its not boring.
unicycles go faster than a guy wake surfing
no way.
yes way
wakeboaring is so much better
well dah! but that doesnt make wake surfing boring.
it doesnt make it not boring
it could. wake surfing is just like riding the flow rider except funner, better and slightly harder.
id rather swin through a sea of thumb tacs than wake surf
no
Not in my opinion. Don’t come into somebody else’s thread about something they thoroughly enjoy and try to change their mind about it. That’s like going into a unicycling forum and starting a thread saying that everybody should bicycle…it’s much more fun!
I waterski. I snowski. It’s fun. Don’t try to change my mind.
