I could be waaaay off the mark here, but I have just a hint of a tiny, sneaking suspicion that Chase knew that all along…
Where’s the “dry humour only” forum?
heres the only advice i can give seeing as how i cant ride mine great yet either. get on the cycle by holding onto a pole or a wall or a car hood or sumthin then just get your feet ready to ride foreward and lean forward and go. and remember to keep your head up cuz i want the last thing you see before you smash your chin off the ground is the pole you were heading for.(someone here told me that…i forget who??)

[B]The first five feet when your first learning, is always the hardest, since you don’t have any momentum yet. There are two ways to start before you know how to free mount, first from a curb, just place the tire against the curb, and place your foot on the back pedal, succesfully holding the unicycle against the curb, then hop on and ride forward, the other method, is to mount using a wall, pole, person, ect. But when you use this method I don’t recomend holding onto the object then trying to ride forward, I recomend you lean twards the object a little, then ‘pop’ yourself up, before you start to ride, because if you try to ride from holding the object, 9 times out of ten you will fall in the direction the object was.
As for ridding tips, pretend that seatpost goes straight through the seat, up your arse, and out your mouth. Yes that is how straight your back should be, also make sure you seat is up pretty high, and your knees don’t have alot of bend, Look at an object in the distance, don’t look down, when your chin slaps against that concrete I want the last thing you see before you black out, is the mailbox you were ridding for. Also lean forward, and pedal quickly, its just like ridding a bike, your not going to learn going 10ft/hr If your going to fall you should fall forward, that means your leaning forward correctly, if the unicycle falls infront of you, LEAN FORWARD!
