I Heart Britain

And I quote:

So again, thanks for colonizing the Commonwealth of Virginia and subsequintly giving my liege, Govenor Tim Kaine, an excuse to distribute the spoils of his executive office in the form of paid leave. The British monarchy is now, by far, my favorite symbolic head of any foreign government.

They’ve scheduled several sophisticated bluegrass bands to play as commemoration…

I’m sure all the taxpayers who are paying for your day off are equally thrilled…

Yes: Taxpayers, thank you for your money, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, II and His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, thank you for the flimsy premise. I’m sure I will waste half the day sleeping and the other half unicycling, in either case, thank you, I deserve this.

Woot! Go Britain.
Land of my ancestors and cask conditioned beer.

Funnily enough same here!

I’m currently tucking into a bottle of Badger Brewery’s Hopping Hare. And very nice it is too.

Summer’s on the way… Bring on the pale ales!

I love the having the Queen ‘rule australia’ cause we get a public holiday for her birthday.

My grandparents met Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith in NYC in the 80’s.

My grandmother was born a true cockney (within the sound of the Bow Bells) and my father was born on a RAF base, so I was taught to heart Britain too.
