I had a great IDEA!

Im the only one I know of to think of this, so Im taking any future credit. The
wonderful idea is…a Coker Giraffe! Why not? It could be done. 15-20 mph
six feet in the air! Imagine the possibilities!..hhmmmmmmm

Imagine the crashes! :stuck_out_tongue:

Though Cokers are relatively new on the scene, big wheels have been around since
the beginning. Many people have thought of the idea of putting a big wheel on a
giraffe, but as far as I know nobody has been able to answer the age-old
question: why?

BTW, I’ve done 15-20 mph six feet in the air on my Schwinn giraffe. With the
drivetrain, all you have to do is gear it up. But both a bigger gear or a bigger
wheel make the cycle increasingly harder to control. As your leverage goes down,
instability (or at least lack of safety) goes up.

Well, a coker giraffe has been mentioned before on this group. Roger Davies and
I had talked about it during the Unicycle Across Minnesota, and I’ve thought of
making a double wheeled one. I better hurry since a parade is coming up pretty
soon here.

They’d be just about as bad as on a standard Coker.

Why not? Why unicycle at all? A Coker giraffe would be cool. It would look very
impressive in parades, and a 2-wheeled one would look more impressive than one
of the little 3-wheelers also in the parade. It’d also make me not be the
shortest giraffe in the parade routine.

A Coker giraffe would not be for speed, but I imagine you ‘could’ go pretty
fast on one.
