One of the events of the Twilight Criterium weekend in Athens, GA (U.S.A.) on April 27th, 2013 was a 50k participation ride known as "The Gambler.” I was the only unicyclist and I completed the ride in about 6 hours. When I reached the finish line, it was already dismantled! Even cyclists who rode the longer 100k course were already gone.
I want to thank many Unicyclist Community forum members for giving me training and gear advice to accomplish this ride. Thanks to MuniAddict and bungeejoe for hill climbing advice, Nurse Ben for recommending 170mm cranks to navigate the hilly terrain, and tr4nspo for recommending the Adamo Typhoon saddle! Also thanks to MuniAddict for the pi bar modification video.
Congratulations on your finishing!
I too use a bike seat for road riding.
Currently I’m using a Romin split saddle gel.
Much more comfy than a uni seat.
