I bid thee farwell

The time has come for myself, Spickydoo, Drewnicycle, and m_extreme_uni to venture off on our 4 man 24 hr relay.

I’m heading out early tomorrow, very pumped. I’ve done a 24 hr race before, my first, and it killed me. This one is gonna be great. Better Uni (I have given this ALOT of thought, and it is going against my better judgement, however, I am riding the race atop my Kookabearing Coker in the ol’ gumtree…with my 24x3 w/150’s as a backup if it proves too ridiculous…it’s apparently hilly, and in the words of Carl Hoyer ‘uncokerable’),

Better training, better event (they provide Cabins, cooked meals, and showers)

This is gonna be fantastic.

Fear not, my friends, I will return. With many, many photos.

And good luck to the 24 hr team in California this weekend as well!

Good luck!!!

All the best to you guys! Have an awesome time. Looking forward to the pic’s and story that will follow.

cheers,
Erin

Sounds like fun. I’d rather you than me, although with a team of four people it wouldn’t be too bad. I don’t think I would be too keen on doing 24 hours solo like GizmoDuck did recently. Hope you brought something comfortable to sit on!

You bet I did!

Sofa, did you manage to fix the material on the Velo that had started to wear?

Erin

What can I say but good luck and have fun :stuck_out_tongue:

4 people= 6hrs each =still a very long time to be riding! Make sure you have lot’s of vaseline.

Best wishes to your team and also to the 24hrs Of Adrenaline team in California.

Ken

Sofa-

You already OWN that relay. Have a great time.

Best of luck guys! Having now done a 24hr race, I can really appreciate how much you’ll be looking forward to it. We must be missing out here in Australia…cabins, cooked meals and showers - WOW!

Re: I bid thee farwell

Have a great time! Carl Hoyer and Jeff Groves just arrived this evening in
California from Toronto and we are off to Laguna Seca tomorrow. I’m sure
you’ll do well, but listen to Carl because he’s done more 24 Hours races
than anyone else! We’re considering Cokering even the night laps this
time…(long cranks of course).

I wonder how Sofa plans to do with no pedals.

Good Luck!

Never retreat. Never explain. Get it done and let them howl.
