Hula-Hoop

I went to the library here in Cedar Rapids IA yesterday and found a copy of The
Unicycle Book on the shelf. Just wanted to add that there is a picture of a 6
year old girl hula hooping while riding a unicycle.

Dennis:

As you know, Wood One Wheelers does the hula hoop number in our parades. We’ve
been doing it for at least 7 years (probably longer), and it generally is
perferred by the youngest riders. It’s not difficult to do at all, and it gives
the 5 and 6 year olds a “trick” to do during the parades. The crowds love it
and them. We also have a group routine we perform at shows involving our
youngest riders using hula hoops. As the kids get older they “mature out” of
the hula hoop stage and move on to bigger and, in their minds, better things.
Still, I fondly remember how much fun both of my daughters had when they were
at that stage.
