Hubs

Hey there , I was curious, is it possible to use a mountain bike hub for a
unicycle, or do I have to stick to specifically unicycle one, because I am
going to need a new one soon and the next step up is like the Pozanter by
profile and it is quite expensive indeed. I don’t know, has anybody done
this before? Dustin Zupancic Uni-Pickle

No, unicycle hubs are linked to the axle going through them so that you
pedal and they keep going, bike hubs have bearings between them and the
axle, they are driven by the chain. There might be a cunning thing to do
with welding stuff together, but I don’t know what it is and I suspect
you’d end up with a much less strong hub.
