Hubless unicycles?

Maybe hubless isn’t the right word for my idea, perhaps “open space hub”

There are too many issues to make a 36 hubless unicycle that would ride smoothly, with enough strength such as the weight of the wheel.
That’s why I didn’t go further than 27.5 in the AntiHub prototypes

Never share this 27.5 because currently not ridable when sitting on the saddle

They‘re all cool, but the Hatchet style one really is bad ass! :+1:
No wonder it‘s not rideable, by the way …with a Jumbo Jim :face_with_peeking_eye:

where can I get one? They look really cool.

The only way is that I ask the supplier to make CNC parts for a new one, but it would cost around 3k-5k €

ok Im not THAT interested

These are really cool indeed!

I do like the simplicty of an ordinary unicycle though, and the fact that I can maintain and change parts on my own.

However, I stand corrected: I see that the crank length is at least not an issue here. I falsely assumed that the cranks had to be placed much closer to the rim, like on that trials unicycle in the video. It actually looks really cool that the “cranks” stick out from the rim and not the (non-existant) hub. :star_struck:

That absolutely gives a new meaning to the term “tiny wheel, tiny cranks machine”
