How to tell Win2000 to stop recognizing the same hardware

God…I think I’ve found my problem…but now Win2000 wants to install
the drivers over and over again every restart. Is there any way to
prevent this?

If you already have it installed (whatever it is), uninstall it, restart
and install it as it wants to. Sometimes that will fix it. I had a problem
w/ my lexmark printer like that…
