Does anyone know of a free editing system that can slow down or speed up clips or a website that can do that? I’m a little short on cash. I have iMovie i think 08 and there isn’t much special effects you can put on the videos.
what kind of camera do you have? You can download a lot of demos for editing programs online, and once they expire you can just download them again.
I just have a kodak 10xzoom 50 mega pixels I picked up off a friend for 25 dollars. Do you have any good demo’s in mind?
that would work on a Mac?
What would work is posting this in Just Conversation where it belongs. This forum is for unicycling discussion.
both final cut pro and autodesk smoke are great although final cut is the better of the two. they both have 30 day trials
Well I’m just going to leave it where it is, because I don’t feel like switching it. I’ll remember next time though.
alright thank Muni123 I’ll download the trial then, thanks
You can slow or speed up gopro clips with this http://gopro.com/software-app/cineform-studio but I have no idea if it will work with a non gopro camera…
Sorry I don’t know about Macs, though there is always Parallels or Wine. Personally I use AviSynth in combination with VirtualDub on my Windows PC, which allows you to do all sorts of effects with your videos including slo-mo. I made
using these - see 1:10 on for the fast-rewind section.
In iMovie there is several types of slowing the video. You can choose it in options after converting video. I can check and tell more specific if you want
Could you please? I’m pretty sure there isn’t on my iMovie though, but if I’m just being really stupid that would be cool to I guess.
Many cameras now shoot in super slomo, including my canon p&s that shoots in 120fps. This clip was not slowed down in editing; it’s exactly the speed in which it was shot. If you tried to slow down normal 30fps or even 60fps to this slow speed, it would be pretty choppy.
ffmpeg is an open source tool that does just about anything you could want.
Difficulty level: ninja. You have to build the tool from source code.
I downloaded the trial final cut pro trial, which is way better than iMovie, and it has tons of effects and different slo motion speeds and rewinds sppeds etc. My camera isn’t high tech or nothing and doesn’t shoot in slo motion
Drag selected piece to project, then click on gear (in the left bottom corner of clip piece), in drop down box choose clip properties (third from up), then click on Convert all clip (near the sing Speed). After converting speed properties will appear.
If you need more editing, you can allways install VirtualPC, VMWare or VirtualBox and try it out again on your virtual PC. But remember, if you like it, buy it.
I’m pretty happy with the final cut pro 30 day trial, I downloaded, there are tons of effects, slo mo, rewindfast forwards, like 100 transitions, and everything iMovie does but better basically. I just need to figure it a little more and find out how to use it better.
Train a turtle to run really fast next to yourself when riding.
Then when others view the video they will all be like; “wow that certainly is definitely slow motion, look at that turtle. turtles are the slowest animal and that is a fact i know.”
problem solved, you wont have to spend any expensive money on software and in addition will get to spend expensive money on a turtle and turtle related training equipment.
Looooool
