how to cut metal.

Greetings,

I have a Magura brake on my Muni and a brake lever extender which needs
to be cut in half. The only metal I’ve cut is the saddle post and I did
that with a hacksaw.

How shall I cut my brake extender lever, or would it be better to take
it to a pro so it’s done right? I think I’ll need to grind the sharp
edges down too?

What have you done? Advice?

use a hacksaw to cut it to the correct length, then use a file to remove the burrs and finally use some emery cloth to clean it up.

I did what Joe did. Cut it with a hacksaw, then smoothed it down very nicely
with some sandpaper.
