How to carry an mp3 player on a coker.

So I’m gonna go ride my coker and I want to take my mp3 player but I won’t have any pockets and I have a GB4 handle so I can’t just hold it. I thought about duct taping it to my arm but I’m out of duct tape at the moment so that won’t work. Any ideas, anyone?

How big is the player? Do you maybe have some sort of a waist pouch?

It would help to know what kind it is. An iPod? A Zoon?

thats not exactly a good idea, but whatever. I just take one of those addidas/nike satchel type backpacks and put my wallet, mp3 player and phone in there. Plus extra pads and band-aids and stuff

Use an elastic band.

rubberbands?
hair ties?
shoelaces?
VELCRO?
GLUE?

ADHESIVES? CONTACT CEMENT?!?!?!

AAAAAAAA i don’t KNOW!!!
:stuck_out_tongue:

It’s a Creative Zen Vision M, like this:

(mine is the green one.)

Hmmmmmm those are pretty good ideas…I might go with rubber bands. Duct tape wouldn’t be a bad idea you see, because I made a carrying case for it out of duct tape. So the duct tape would just be taping the already duct tape case to my arm.

Id create a playist of songs then strap your mp3 to the seat post or under the seat and let it play.

And then get your ears ripped out when you have a UPD.

Hehe

Or just get a mini speaker thing, or really loud headphones.
But that MP3 player isn’t too big potter. You should be able to fit it in your mouth.

i duct tape my ipod to these huge head phones and where the headphones over my helmet

They make elastic arm bands that hold mp3 players that you could buy that would eliminate the headphones getting ripped out of your ears if you have a upd. Ive done alot of road biking and Ive seen alot of guys with a speaker strapped under their seat, which would be pretty cool (mabe not so smart on a uni)

But in general, I wouldnt ride while listening to music because it can be pretty dangerous.

If you use a camelbak just slip it in there. If not, wear a small backpack. Besides, it’s good to have a place to keep an extra sweatshirt and food or something.

As soon as you said you were out of duct tape, I knew why (that you make stuff out of it).

I found a diagram which might help you carry your mp3 player. It’s for batteries, but I think it will work for mp3 player(s) too.

Ahah, that diagram helped me a lot!
Just kiddin.
I found some duct tape, and duct taped it to my seat post, but then realized the seat was too close to the top of the case so I couldn’t take it out, so I had to untape it, then click play, then retape it, and then I rode like a mile and my crank arm almost fell off, so I went to the bike store (which fortunately was very nearby at this time) and got it fixed, but I took it to be a bad omen and went home.
Anyway, I’m gonna figure out a better way to tape it to the seat post.

Maybe you missed out on a good ride. Maybe the convenient proximity of the bike store was a GOOD omen. I never had an omen while riding. Should I be on the lookout?

Well my grandma knitted me a shirt pocket and that’s where i put my MP3 player. It’s deep enough so it won’t fall out when riding and it has a shirt button too.

great SB reference!

i actually tried to use that style of report for a comedic writing assignment. It went over pretty well.
