How often should I re-inflate the tire?

I’ve had my unicycle almost a month now and am loving it with the passion
shared by most here.

I don’t think I’ve put a hole in the tube – I’ll have to really check
it – but I find lately I’m having to re-inflate the tire once a week.
Pressure goes from 65psi down to 50, which really makes a difference.

Is this normal, given that it’s only one wheel and all my weight is always
on it? Or do I need to consider a patch kit?

It’s a possibility that the valve on the tube is a bit dodgy. I think my small uni has a small dose of this; every couple of weeks I find it gets a little too soft for my liking.

I would have thought a puncture no matter how small would deflate it a bit faster than that, although I could be wrong…

I agree. Sounds like a bit of soap solution in the valve stem is in order.

Yeah … that’s what I figured. When I stop procrastinating, I’ll have to
perform the minor surgery.
