Mines around 30-35. It is different for everybody though, Youw ant it bouncy, but stiff enough not to hit rim/ fold liek hell. Fill it up all the way then ler air out little by little until it is just right. I don’t knwo if everybiody does, but for forawrd jumping to skinnies I need more presurre to keep me off the rim. So keep that in mind if you play to practice that while your out.

i do the same as wikedbob to get it just right, not to hard so no bounce and not to soft that it folds. i recon mine is around 30psi but im not sure

you guys run yours hard. i run mine about 22.

Depends on your weight and style of riding, but generally, for trials you want enough air so you don’t bottom out on your rim, but not too much psi that you can’t get enough compression when you hop. For me I have enough psi so that at full compression the tire goes about 1/2 way to the rim. It provides plenty of “spring”.

A formula that I use for trials / hopping and off road riding is one pound (lb) of air for each 10lbs of body weight. As I only weigh about 120lbs I usually run about 12 to 15 lbs of air in my 20" Maxis tire or my 24" Duro tire.

As these are high volume tires (with solid side walls) they seem to work very well with this amount of air especially in assisting me to hop.

If your doing big drops and, or you have better hopping skills than I do (this should be just about anyone out there) then you might want to add some extra air to insure that you don’t cause some damage to either your tube or rim.

On my smaller volume tire, (24" x 1.75") I usually run between 30 & 40lbs

Hope this is of some help.

only 1 psi per 10 lbs pounds? if i really truly think about it… i weigh about 140 pounds and if i were to run mine at 20 psi, (which iv tryed) it touches rim. hopping it pretty much out of the question at that low. maybe 1 per 10 +10 psi whatever the end result was.

Not hard when I ride, it feels soft if. Then again I weight around 180.
Oh yeah, mine used to be lower, but I put more in that way I would learn to hop with my legs more and not use prehops. Prehops can get sloppy when going 26in up to a stump 1ft in diameter I find using the legs rather than a prehop is much better It is very accurate… This also allows a higher pressure for me.

like i said im not sure what mine it, i just guessed i cheked once and it was 20 but i thought it was too soft so put it to about 40 and took it down untill it was right

my tyres around 32psi last time i checked and it seems
pretty fine to me

Forget about actual psi, and just experiment with it 'till you get it right. I go by feel 100%. Just like fitting shoes. I don’t care what actual size is stamped on in the inside, (for me it can range from 9.5-11) as long as it fits!

THIS IS NOT RSU!

Folks, stop encouraging n00bs. If it’s an RSU thread, don’t reply until/unless it gets moved to RSU.
