How many unis does it take?

How many unis does it take to make one of us happy?

Seriously, I never had more than three working unis at a time before this
year, and then I met someone riding a 26" Sem. Since I got that, the 24"
Schwinn has sat uselessly in a closet. Then I decided to get a 16" Sem for
my 5yo daughter. Pretty soon I discovered the Drummonds, and shortly after
that, Joe Merrill and I started the NYC Unicycle Club (Unatics, rhymes
with Lunatics).

Suddenly I find myself with these unis: old 20" Schwinn old 24" Schwinn
old 6’ Schwinn Giraffe new 26" Sem new 16" Sem new 20" trials (Monty tire)
new 20" Torker (better for tricks than the 20" Schwinn) new Coker (1000
miles on it already) new 46" custom-made – shared with my brother new 20"
‘Spin-cycle’ custom made (rotating seat post)

I still don’t have a muni and am planning to get one as soon as it seems
useful – maybe this summer?

How many more do I need?

John Foss, I got to thinking all this because of some of your recent
posts. How many do you have? I know the answer is probably not static, but
let’s say about how many!

BTW, I also have the parts to build at least 2-3 more 20" Schwinns –
mostly from the days when I busted them as a kid and never threw the
parts away.

The option I’ve gone for is multiple wheels, instead of multiple unis.
I have a Telford and 3 wheels for it: 20" Monty, 26" Gazz Jr, 28"
light weight road. That covers my needs–except for my 26" ultimate
wheel and my Coker.

Ah yes… How many times have I said, “This’ll be the last uni I ever
need”? Answers on a postcard please - the winner gets my overdraft
