ok, i finally decided to do the math and do it right,
each backpack hold 56 cats
each girl hold 392 cats in total
total of 2744 cats in total
all cats have 4 legs
total of 10976 leg on cats alone
plus the 7 girl with 2 legs a piece
10990 total legs on said bus
7 bigcats have 7 little cats so a backpack has 49 litlte cats and the 7 big cats which have little cats. So 49 little cats and 7 big cats in each bag, 56 in total they all have 4 legs (duh) so 224 legs. 7 gils with 7 bags each so 49 bags. 49 bags with 224 legs in each, 10976 than finaly the girls have 2 legs each, 14 in total. 10976 cat legs, 14 girl legs, 10990 on the bus.
I know it’s supposed to be a 5th grade question, but this is JC where we pick things apart so I guess I’ll bring up the part where it says “For every big cat there are 7 little cats” but it doesn’t say where. If they’re also in the backpacks this is a pretty messed up math question. Is this how we teach our 5th graders about pet travel?
This is a real math problem so don’t say that a bus has no legs.
There are 49 girls in a bus. Each girl has 1 CAT KENNEL . In each CAT KENNEL, there are 1 big cats. For every big cat there are 7 little cats in a kennel on the bus.
The bus driver is not in the bus at this time.
Question: How many legs are there in the bus?
you’ll get a different answer but it’s more humain…
