Okay, so I was just wondering how many threads do you read, or at least read the first post of? On average, about what percent?
3
75% or so, I’d say.
65.35%, roughly… my favorite has got to be MR, of course!
I read all of my threads.
-JC
eh, only about 10-30%…the title has to really get my attention.
Just Conversation: probably no more than 10% because so many of them are pointless
John Childs: usually has something worth reading so I read most of them.
I read most of them…I only post in the good ones (or the horrible ones) though.
I almost always read a thread in it’s entirety, even if it is 10 pages. Unless it’s a stupid/bad thread.
It’s also very handy that the threads that I reply to get a special icon of an envelope with a little arrow so it is easy for people to see what threads I have replied to.
I usually only read a few from the first page. I almost always look back on threads that I’ve posted in to follow conversation. There are so many poor threads that I’ve been reading in JC less and less.
I read about 80%. I always read MR and most of the other stuff.
One kind of threads that I never open is Unicycle for Christ - they start out badly and end up even worse most of the time.
Wow, I said most about three times in this post. MR is getting to me.
I read anything that does not require a fully thought through opinion that is subject to scrutiny from my fellow unicyclists. I get enough of that in the real world.
The war in Iraq thread for instance.
Oh, we’re talking just JC threads? Well then I read just a few, but those that I do read I read in it’s entirety.
Too many.
good luck on most replysPAGEdanCE
Less than 10%. This is both because between my forum visits often 3 or 4 pages will accumulate. I can’t read them all (little time) so I skip most of them. Its pretty easy to pick the good threads out.
