Well, I have been off the unicycle for about a month now. If your wondering why read this. Now, my question is, when I get it fixed (I am planning on getting it fixed in the next couple months) will it just be as easy as getting on it and riding it like I did when I stopped riding it, or will it take me a few hours or so to get the hang of it [again]?
I am no expert, but I imagine it would take and hour or a little more to get back in the swing of things again.
its like riding a bike and the time you wet your pants in primary school.
You never forget.
(although with the latter, it generally others that dont let you forget)
I sometimes go for a month between rides.
You won’t forget how to ride, but if you had a highly-developed bunch of tricks you could just barely do, you may need a longer warmup than usual to get back into them.
I say take your time, there’s no rush. Sometimes you got it and sometimes you don’t. We all have these days. The longest for me not riding my unicycle was 1/2 a year.
it can feel funny for about a half an hour or so but your balance all comes back quickly.
a speedy recovery to your uni!!
when I first read the post I thought that you hurt yourself or something. glad to see it was the uni.
I agree with Tom, you should be able to just get on and ride if you rode quite a bit before.
