how heavy is your uni

I’ve been wondering for a long while…

no change at all

cause you have to put in more gas to get the same presure => nearly the same weight as before with normal air

and try to repair a puncture when you run gas in the tire… you always have to carry a bottle of gas

Gas in tires = no good idea
your uni could even explode haha

(at least thats what i think)

There have been many, many discussions on here of the merits of helium filled tyres. The summary of these discussions runs as follows:

  1. hard to get hold of in a form that will go easily in to a uni tyre i.e. in a pressurised container with a schrader valve on it, and due to its small molecular size it will leak from a conventional tube much faster than air does.

  2. clean your unicycle, you will save more weight. I can’t remeber what we decided the overal weight difference would be, certainly a fraction of a gram. There are so many things you could do that would remove more weight with less hassle.
