How does the 'ignore' option work?

I just noticed a reference to the ‘ignore’ option in one the posts on a recent thread here. Though it is rare for anyone on this board to draw my interest to such a choice, it has in fact occured. So I have added a name or two my list (in the ‘edit’ section) and so what can I expect? …That posts by this particular poster will not appear when I log into this forum…? Or how will it work?

Oh, no. It’s me, isn’t it? You’re ignoring me, aren’t you?

Actually, since I seldom have anything meaningful to say, you can safely ignore me. Then look at this thread again and see what happens. Just don’t ask someday, “Whatever happened to uni57?”

fear not Dave… it isn’t you my friend!

but I did see how it worked once I headed back to the offensive posts after adding the posters to the ignore list… humm, nice little option… yup, think I’ll keep using that one for a while…

again,
thanks,
Erin

Ah, I know who it is! Duh! What a good idea. Also, we should all refrain from quoting him. That way none of his text will come through to anybody who is ignoring him.

You are not on my ignored list Samuel and Andrew too. You and Andrew are on my Buddy list.

I would love to know to myself Samuel as you said.

David.

That’s a relief - I was worried you were ignoring people with skinny quads!

Not that I was worried. No, no.
