How do you pronounce "muni"

Do you say “moo-nie”
or “mue-nie”

This may be hard to understand, but do your best.

m yu nee

Mew-knee.

yeah cool, thats what i thought. But I was at an endurance mountain bike race last month on my muni, when I got talking to one of the top solo riders, and he had just started riding a uni, and he was saying “moo-nee”.
Hehe, everyone’s different.

That’s because he’s a “loo-ney”.

Mue-ni

He’s alright. His name it Saul Britton. Google it. I’m just impressed to have had a conversation with him! And even more stoked that he has started unicycling.

i think it’s just a case of if you try and pronounce a y somewhere between the m and the n or not. Personally I go for moo-knee, it’s just easier to pronounce than meyou - knee which seems to be more popular.

Myue-neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Say “I am sofa king we tall did” and you will have you answer…:stuck_out_tongue:

It begins with the greek letter, mu, or µ, and therefore is pronounced myoonee.

oh, dude! µni!

money.

we even borrowed the word in french but we pronounce it : Münee
(“ü” sound does not exists in english and “ee” is very short. remember that french is one of the very rare languages with no tonic accent).

The idea is that it’s “Uni” with an “M” on the front. M-Uni. MUni.

Money

edit: oops, someone already said this

Moonie, Mun eye, Mun eee, and Em ooonie are all completely unexceptable replacements for the word. Saying mewnee properly demands a fairly good command of the english rules of phonetics. Or funeticks, which ever suits your fancy.

I pronounce it like “uni” (yoo-nee) with an “m” for mountain in front. MUni.

  thanks guys

That’s got to be the awesomest way to spell muni ever. Is there some special keyboard code you use to type the letter mu? I don’t think I’ll ever spell µni any other way again. From a distance, it looks like plain ol’ uni, but we all know what it really says.

moo-e
