do you have some strange thing you do to get ready for a ride i find watching a little of universe helps me do crazy trials stuff.what do you do??
Read RSU then suit up.
- drink water
- strech
- empty bladder
- center my chi
- mount and ride
(it should also be noted that I normally ride a 6 foot giraffe, and due to the acrobatic nature of the mount, i find streching a necessity)
urinate
center my balls
riding with a full bladder is not pleasant. emptying is a must.
other then crotch related stuff, i gear up, and i usually watch some videos online.
I check tire pressure, make sure my seat is aligned with the rest, check the current weather conditions (the thermometer), mount, re-mount, re-mount again, walk to the pole, warm up my hands, hold the pole, mount once again, and take off. It’s fun stuff, ya know, eh.
I have a special winamp playlist composed of songs that put me in the mood to injure myself in more imaginative ways. Indeed, some of the music from Universe features in it…

I go out, mount the unicycle and hope for the best.
I like to watch any uni videos to get meself pumped up before I go. Unfortunately, sometimes I watch the uni videos when I’m bored which pumps me up and I can’t go ride because it’s too cold, dark, etc. That makes me mad.
1.if nature calls, answer
2.get my seat in line and check my bolts and stuff
3.open the door and go!
I usually cut off a chickens head and throw some salt over my shoulder…
I listen to Hell’s Bells by AC/DC. But that’s only for MUni.

This is my kind of thread…
I actually have a pretty good ritual that i tend to do, i find that i often do much better then if i don’t do it. Weird…
I only do it for trials/street unicycling. Trials/street is all i do anymore, so…
I Check the RSU (sometimes galleries) to get me in a very uni mindset.
Then, I stand up and look at myself in the mirror and say “today is a good day to uni” in my head or out loud.
Next (and here is the magical part) I say (usually scream) “SUIT UP!” and then i don all my gear like a knight. My 661 leg/knee armor, my elbow pads, gloves, and sometimes a helmet. This is usually done while humming some sort of batman-ish theme song.
Then the magic begins…
EDIT: I said “elboy pads”… embarassment.
Elboy?
sounds like some kind of superhero…
Aren’t you supposed to spend ages putting on your gear in a really dramatic, photogenic way, only to try to stand up, fail and fall over backwards in a comedy manner?
You know it makes sense…

Xwonka… please please…
Xwonka, please, please, pleease… videotape your WHOLE process including the humming, and post it on this thread so we can all watch it!
