this movie is no longer available as far as i can tell.can i still see it somehow?
Rough Terrain Unicycling by George Peck is listed on the USA merchandise page
<http://www.unicycling.org/usa/merchandise/>
I assume that it is still available there through the USA.
You need to get on my case to make some more copies for the USA’s inventory.
Cool. I didn’t think it was available anymore. Let us know please Gilby when you have increased the inventory:)
wow, what a great video…
luckally jeff lutkus has a very large collection of unicycling videos offline(bigger than his online collection?) so i got to watch this
EVERYONE should watch this video, you just wont realize how much youve missed it in you life till you see it. george peck is so amazingly deadpan it scares me
that and UNiVerse, both have been watched many times with slo-mo at the ready and they are not easy to get tired of…
My favorite lines from ‘Rough Terrain Unicycling’
“I should be wearing a helmet here…and so should you”
“Someday I hope to climb this trail (nearly vertical single track with roots and rocks) hands free”
“This grade (draw bridge) was to easy to so I’ll wheel walk it”
“Curbs and stairs are everywhere, so deal with them”
“If you don’t have the proper safety equipment, make your own”
This is a classic unicycle video! Watch it alone or better yet with your unicycle buddies, you’ll laugh and learn a ton.

Re: how do i see Rough Terrian Unicycling
I know it’s a pain, but probably worth it. You have to admin that when we
showed it in Santa Cruz this last weekend, people liked it. It did seem
though that many hadn’t ever seen it before. I’m glad I got my copy when I
did.

Admit! Not Admin. Maybe I should read what I write before I hit the post
button…

Okay…
This is your President speaking: Please make more copies of the Rough Terrain Unicycling video! It’s a classic. There is nothing on the market to come close to replacing it. We need it.
Thank you,
John Foss,
not USA President for much longer
Re: how do i see Rough Terrian Unicycling
It sounds to me that this video is not subject to the usual copyright laws?
If that’s the case (and that is a BIG if) and we want to ensure the widest
distribution then why not create an online version of it? I’d be happy to
do this if it’s within legal and ethical bounds.

Re: Re: how do i see Rough Terrian Unicycling
George Peck, the creator of it, gave the Unicycling Society of America a license to copy and sell it. If a digital copy were to be distributed, you’d need to get permission from George Peck.
Gilby,
Consider me on your case. I’ve been wanting a copy for some time now.
I waited for months to get mine, but it was worth it to see George gliding over curbs, rolling through beach boulders, and hopping up onto his workbench. The video quality is extremely poor, though. Any chance of getting it cleaned up? I’m sure some good commercial digital image processing could do the trick.
Re: how do i see Rough Terrian Unicycling
Any chance it could be burnt onto a dvd (or a video cd) for those of us
without videos. I don’t mind paying for it, but I don’t have a vcr or a tv
to play it on. Anyone with TV-in, a compatible VCR and a CD burner can burn
video cds, which will play on most dvd players I think and also on most
computers. The conversion part could probably be done with virtualdub or
dvdx or similar free software.
Obviously if it went up on the net that’d be great, but we have to accept
that it’s up to George and the USA whether they want to do that as it was
their hard work that got it made and put it out in the first place.
