I don’t know if that counts. Don’t you have to ride away for it to be a mount?

Yup, Skilewis74 is pretty awesome. I rode with him up and down the famous Mt. Tam in Marin County in January. A long MUni ride that was in my top 5 of amount of uphill ridden in a day. He’s tough!

When did Schwinn make a 26" unicycle? I tried to cram one in there once (an early MUni-building attempt) but the frame was too flexy for that to be workable.

Me:
• Ride straight
  • Start to make turns
  • Unicycle fell apart due to bad design
  • (3 years later) Ride straight and make turns on 6' giraffe
  • Ride 5 miles on 6' giraffe
  • Freemount regular uni (Schwinn 20")
  • Freemount Schwinn Giraffe
  • Idle & Backwards (learned together)
Tricks came later. There were no videos to download, and no easy way to find other unicyclists. Fortunately there was a unicycle club in the area and we eventually found that. Then I was presented with the 4 USA skill levels and worked on those. One trick that stood out, backwards wheel walk (not in the 4 levels) took a really long time. So did coasting, but very few people were working on it then, so the few of us were just figurinig it out.

  • Thanks, but perhaps you are confusing me w/ someone else:o, and/or have the rides mixed up.

It was the Muni ride during last October’s Berkley Juggling Festival in either the Berkley or Oakland hills. The only thing I remember for sure about the location is one of the trails was Chaparral, definitely the most tech bike legal trail I’ve ever been on (pre or post injury), and possibly overall considering the length of the tech section. It was fun watching everyone riding the super rough section but I had to walk (I still almost fell several times) until the railroad ties spread to ~ 50+ ft apart.

PS. A couple of weeks ago I UPD’d and stepped on a dirt mound putting a lot of stress on my left brace snapping it in half  I have some cheep ones I’ve been using, but I’m not sure I can do stuff like Muni w/ them (they are pretty flexy and uncomfortable). So I may be out of Muni and other aggressive (for me) riding until I can get new ones made, so prob no CMW :frowning:

Hello John, Presently I’m not really sure of the wheel size. We did have two uni’s one larger than the other. Actually one uni wasn’t really a Schwinn brand, but looked just like the Schwinn.
