There was a near fatal road crash where a 17yr old ‘P’ driver nearly rolled her car off a 16m ridge. She was stoped by a barbed wire fence and a steel picket.
Her fathers only quote, after his daughter just looked death in the face; “it is a bugger of a stretch”
i didnt hear about that crash but oh man what a quote…that really is so Australian!

Is it something about her getting lucky and almost dying, but not quite?
no it means ‘that stretch of road is a bugger’ bugger being like a bitch or yeah etc

Cyprus is great, but if I stay here I’ve got no future in Physics.
And it just gets kinda boring after a while. It’s also stinking hot in the summer and I kinda want to live in an English-speaking country.
