so I’ve got 180 jump mounts down. (DISCLAIMER! I HAVE SEARCHED FOR THIS TIP ON MANY THREADS COULD NOT FIND IT) I am having trouble flicking my legs out while attempting 180 unispin. do I just spin the un i, or is the unicycle in the air while I jump? ( do I just jump and pivot uni underneath me, or do I spin it in the air?)

I have been trying to 180 unispin for a really long time now and i just can’t get it. Are there any techniques you used for learning? thank you mucho.
Hi all,
So I landed the 180unispin(at last) and i can now perform them 95% of the time so I want to move on. I think the most straightforward thing to progress to doing is 360 unispins. I’m having some difficulties. So does any one have any advice on how to progress from 180 to 360unispins. I would have thought that it was simply jumping higher but is there any thing else. I also have found that I am struggling to jump higher. I usually clear the tire by about 4inches but when I see other peopl…
I have only been uniing for about a month and a half and am learning fast. I can jump a good 10 inches, and drop off 4-5 foot obstacles. I now want to learn how to 180 unispin. i have been practacing 180 mounts and can get those sometimes. but now i need some tips how to put it all together. thanks!!
Post your first ever uni spin here

I’m sure many have asked this question before, but after looking through the forums for a while, I could not find one. I have watched tutorials on youtube. I understand how to do the movement, but I am having a major problem. I can’t seem to jump off the pedals and land back on (w/o spinning the uni.) Has anyone had this problem? I don’t know if it’s just a mental thing or not. I wear pads, so I can’t get hurt, but something is still holding me back…

I still can’t get it. I can get into the position, but when I jump I just can’t spin the unicycle or get my legs out. Also, I always fall back, like I just jump back off the uni. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you can do a 180 unispin how many hours of practice did it take you to land one because I’ve worked on it for about a total of 6 hours over the past 2 days (2 hours yesterday and 4 hours today) and I still can’t land one, the closest I got was I got both my feet on each pedal but then I fell off backwards. I’m starting to get pretty pissed off.
Hey everyone.
When I unispin, I spin with my left hand forward, right hand back, and counter clockwise. However, when I one-hand unispin, I use by back hand (right hand) and spin left.
I have a feeling that the reason I can’t 3spin yet is because I have to rely on my left hand.
Any tips
Also,
When I practice crankflips, I notice that I either spin the cranks by pulling up my arm, or don’t spin them by keeping it straight. I just cannot figure out how to spin the cranks. It seems, in Shaun’s…
Hey everyone,
I’ve been trying to land a 360 unispin for a while now, and I know it’s not my legs that are the problem. I’m jumping perfectly, and kicking my legs super far out. (I can do the splits, so that’s not the problem)
My problem is spinning the unicycle. When I 1spin, I use my backhand (right hand) to whip the unicycle around, but my left hand,(undominate hand) has trouble spinning it the last 180 degrees.
I don’t know how to fix this problem. I just can’t spin it fast enough. Any ti…
Hello, just learned 180 unispins yesterday and this morning I landed 4 in a row…
but a new problem has arisen that I didn’t have yesterday–I keep hitting the middle of my left leg (inside between the shin and calf) against the flat part of the crown on my Nimbus X frame, kinda painful after the first 10 or so…
Am tilting the uni to the side, not getting it around fast enough, catching it funny or what?
Hello, I am a noob and have been trying to do 180 unispins for the past 2 days… I landed one, and I did 4 160ish unispins. Is this normal? How can I fix this? Do i need to spin it faster, hop higher, jump higher (off the unicycle)?
The unispin tutorial has probably been done about a million times, but i think i have a solution to helping out with the unispin.
Everyone says “Oh, just learn the unispin mount” - However, this is not an easy feat to accomplish either my friend.
For starters, it helps to learn this with plastic pedals, because aluminum and pedal pins can be very painful.
The first step in learning how to unispin, is the jump mount.
Step 1: Jump Mount
-A mount in which you hold the unicycle out in front of…
Ok I’m having a little trouble with this because when I do a suicide mount I have my right foot foward, but when I jump I have my left foot foward. So it just feels really wierd either jumping with my right foward or if I land with my left forward. So should I just practice landing with my left forward, which I’ve been doing a little?
ok i was wondering how different tires, unicycles, parts or whatever effect how hard/easy this is to do. im still learning and its busting my balls but im still going at it. also wondering does it help to hop off the unicycle and try to keep it on the ground as much as possible or should i hop off the unicycle while putting some spring in the uni. also… most of the time it seems that on of my feet stays on one pedal longer spinning the wheel out of control and also the whole uni out of control, …
I know there are loads of threads on unispins and some good written tutorials but I think I only know of one video tutorial and that was quite good but breif.
so I have made another, I think it is as detailed as it needs to be and covers most aspects. hopfully it will help lots of people.
here it is
ok, ive read the manuals and stuff and ive completed about 4 total, on four different days. i keep kicking one foot a little before the other so the pedals just spin around and i die:( also, i know that i need to keep my feet out of the way of the wheel and whatnot, just wondering if anyone has any amazing advise that i can use while practicing!?!
EDIT: To answer you question, you probably want to make your uni quit the ground, because you will have a hard time keeping it on the ground for bigger unispins but if it’s easier for you to let it on the ground, than, do so. Also, just jump as high as you can, spin as fast as you can, spread your legs outwards the most you can and last but not least stay over the uni the whole time (and spot the cranks/pedals to land).
EDIT 2: Yes, they are all different thread up there, not just the same link many time.
I won’t be giving you unispin advice, but maybe others can offer advice if you post a video of what you’re current doing?
Are you on a 20 or 24?
If your on a 24, get a 20.
You can always try learning a 90 unispin up onto the tire first, it will get you used to hopping up and spinning the uni, it’s fairly easy and will aslo give you a sense of accoplishment before you go for the 180.
Or
Just spend some time working on your no footers until you can get your feet out, also a fairly easy manuver, and fairly useful down the road.
