Hookworm!!!

I just stuck a Maxxis Hookworm onto my Nimbus 26er (with a Yuni frame) and it totally rocks! I’m still in the early stages of my unicycle life (can’t freemount yet, but I’m getting better with simply riding and having a blast doing it)and the Hookworm is a nice, controllable ride. Especially here in NYC.

Not that I want to get rid of my 3inch leopard knobbly–when the snow comes, I’m sure I’ll be making tracks with that monster…

Thanks for all you unicyclists out there who recomended the hookworm it from an earlier thread. Anyone out there who is sort-of new (like me), you might want to consider a Hookworm if you want a nice straight ride.

As soon as I get shorter cranks (I currently use 165s–a little wobbly) I’ll be ripping up the west side highway (I hope…)

Glad you like the Hookworm, too.

In case you happen on past threads where I wrote about the 125mm
cranks on my 26x2.5 Hookworm clad unicycle: It turns out I was riding
140s, which were surprisingly smoother for me than 150s. I have one
slow ride on 125s, and I can tell you one thing for sure - short
cranks are not good for slow riding!

Hope that helps.
