HONC stands for Hell of the North Cotswolds - a ride that is in homage to
(and on the same day each year) as the Paris-Roubaix cycle race nicknamed
the Hell of the North.

Probably just as well that I pulled out given how hard it sounded.
I went for a little pootle in the woods with Sarah on Sunday am
and spent at least half of it horking up green stuff from my lungs.
Not nice…

I should point out that our idea of a little pootl in the woods was a 105
minute , nearly all off road, stopping only to check the map , 8 mile
ride. With some fantastic single track, lovley and tree rooty and rocky,
slightly up hill to provide a nice challenge.
But yes Paul was coughing up green gunk most of the way. So the HoNC
would have been a bad idea. I couldn’t do HoNC as I had to be at work at
2pm. RATZ.

Ooh it irritates me when people hyphenate “unicycle”. But I suppose it is
at least more forgivable on a bike site than it was on the 1995 BUC
T-shirts.
