I was thinking and I just realised… The entire world(basically) uses inches for wheel sizes. Thats mad crazy yo… I mean what are we gonna do when the entire world converts to metric. Will it still be a 24 inch wheel or will it be put into like decimeters or centimeters or something…? Oh and just so you don’t feel like I wasted your time, here is 2 1/2 of my band’s songs(on the net!!!):
I like it for wheel size. Who would want to say: “Freestlye unicycles are almost always 50.6cm wheels.”
most everyone who grew up in the metric system i guess
i for one would like it because i have a basic idea of how big 50cms is
i only know how big 20inches is because i have a 20inch unicycle
I live in Australia, metric system for everything, but we still use inches for bike wheels and such. Also feet and inches are quite common for heights, unless they want to be really specific, but everyone knows the average male height is like 6 foot. I think human height and bike wheels and maybe some other things might just stay in inches because they are nice values.
If inches and feet have to go, but the metric system doesn’t feel right, we can switch to the system fast food places use for drinks:
20" -> Large
24" -> Extra Large
26" -> King Sized
29" -> Big Gulp
36" -> Diabetic Coma
(note: the KFC in my town now offers beverages in sizes up to and including a half gallon. That can’t be healthy )
Yeah I worked at a KFC and we sold a suprisingly small number of those. I guess people realize that it’s a bad idea. Or they realize that, since its free refills, it is pointless.
The all you can eat fried chicken buffet style KFC up here seems to do well though. Thats americans I suppose
Metric wheel sizes? What on earth? You mean, soon people will be saying things like “700c”?
Nah, it’ll never catch on…
