Hip pads

I use before mentioned Fox Titan pants, these are very comfy and provide very good security. Go for a pair!

Those Fox Titans look like something I need when learning to ride the freewheel uni. I made quite the fall backwards last weekend. Everything still hurts.

Or maybe you should just but a set of these:

ZIP-ties sold as “Snow Chains for Bicycles”. They’re on sale too!

surely you wouldn’;t pay so much for that. When seeing the picture you can easily do that yourself with some iron wiring. Those plastic ones prolly are too short for municycle tires anyways.

My dad told me that in the 60’s they would use bicycle chains to make snow/ice tires for their Vespa scooters. They would take a chain, shorten it to the size of the outer diameter of the wheel, deflate the tire, put the chain onto it and inflate it back up. They would put two or three chains around each tire.
That was an era long before our “safe” world for sure…

I have not been happy with solutions I have found so far to cover my humungous gluteus maximus.

George Peck of Rough Terrain Unicycling fame tells us how he rigged something up to cover his ass and stay safe when falling:

Eddie, you’re a dancer. You’re graceful. Just say, “no,” to falling.
