Hilltop Hoods

yo I just found out about hilltop hoods, an amazing Ausie hip hop group. I downloaded some of their free songs off their website, but i would like to get “The Nosebleed Section”. the Australian iTunes store as almost all of Hilltop’s songs, but unfortunately, you must have a credit card that is valid in Australia to buy songs off the Australian iTunes store, the American iTunes has none of their songs. Does any one know where to get the “the Nosebleed Section” ? I’m Desperate.

try sending an email explaining the situation.

do you know where I can get and Hilltop Hoods records or recordings like The Calling and the Hard road? I sent them an E-mail about two weeks ago, but i haven’t gotten a reply.

http://www.torrentbox.com/torrent_details?id=35481 - The Calling
http://www.torrentbox.com/torrent_details?id=37675 - The Hard Road
http://www.torrentbox.com/torrent_details?id=39059 - A Matter of Time

These were the only ones I could find that look like they will work. You will need to know how to use BitTorrents, if you don’t already. You will also need a client, I use Azureus. Why would anyone want to listen to rap, anyways?

Edit: Couldn’t find the nosebleed section.

Its not rap, its old school hip hop that will blow your mind.

Thanks for the help.

there soo cool this is there myspace http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=88652723
there are heaps of other aussie hip hop bands that are really cool, check out mulph and plutonic, and butterfingers heres there myspace http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=50825973

Man the hoods are awsome, if you can get hold of there second album that is the best.

there new stuff, in my view, has commercialised quite a lot :frowning: but the album before that is insane. I have mentioned them before on here but i got no response, i meet them on new years eve and watched them play live… no words can really explain.

You can get a bunch of their songs off their website from “Matter of Time” Album. you live in aussie land so you can buy “The Calling” album of iTunes. Sure wish i could. Does any body know if Hilltop is on Lime wire?

‘the Herd’ are a great Aussie hip-hop (yes, that’s what it’s called) group you might like to check out. Frankly i’m surprised how many people there are that still refer to hip-hop as ‘that gangster sh**’. There is a quite obvious line between ‘real world matters’ and 'bits and ho’s’ Personally i can’t stand listening to how much money or how many bi*s they have. It’s time people relised the true genius of groups like Run DMC and Public Enemy.

The Herd are great, if you dont have to here I was only nineteen about twenty times in a row. I was them live last year, they where pretty awsome, reminded me of the cat empire (a little bohemian)

another cool song by the herd is ‘77%’. it has a bit of swearing in it though.
yes hilltop would would be on lime wire. same with the herd. but poor old mulph and plutonic arent on limewire
i might put some cool songs on the gallery if you want.

If you get Triple J in Townsville ( i assume you do) their hip-hop show (Thursday nights after 10?) is a great place to hear some upcoming talent. The host (Mya?) knows her stuff and is in a group (which she’s not allowed to play on her show to keep the neutrality or something). Ch-ch-check it out.

the sentinal is such a sick song! its gotta be my fav… that and the nosebleed section… damn… its all good

i do get triple j. i listen to the j’s all the time and watch jtv all the time. the only person in my family who doesnt listen to it is my little sister but hopefully she’ll grow up to love triple j
yes it is mya. dont know if thats how you spell it

Just found this.

Downloading “A Matter of Time” now. For me, it’s simply priceless, as “A Matter of Time” really grew on me and is now one of my favourite albums ever. The size is pretty big, so it should be better quality than what I got from torrents.

Just wanted to share this with whoever is interested.

yes hilltop hoods seen em at big day out last year they were dead set killer.

ther a sweet band

Also check out an Aussie band called TZU. In the same vein as Hilltop hoods, but with more of a party feel. Saw them at splendour in the Grass last year and was really impressed,

I got The Hard Road Restrung today. Listening to it right now. So far I’ve listened to Stopping All Stations and Recapturing the Vibe - my two favourites from the hard road - and I’m not really liking it as much as the old Hilltop. It’s not bad, but it’s missing something. Something that would grab me by the throat and put all those emotions into me when listening to 1979 or Tomorrow Will Do… And I didn’t really like Suffa’s MCing in Stopping All Stations at all.

Everyone’s a critic, I know. It’s just that I seem to enjoy the old Hilltop Hoods much more. My two favourite albums are Matter of Time and The Calling and they seem to be moving farther and farther away from that sound and those ideas.

sigh oh well…

This looks old…
