I’ve seen your circus! I can’t remember the circus name. It was around 1986 or 7
when I saw you all at the International Clown Convention at Bognor Regis,
England. There were lots of decrepit clowns, and a few of us young anarchic
street performers. I’ve still got quite a few photos of your troupe outdoors and
in, riding all sorts of weird unicycles. I’d never seen anything non-standard
before, and it was really inspiring. Highlights for me were the cycling through
a flaming hoop over a see-saw in the middle of a bonfire, a running mount onto a
45" uni, the 2-wheel backwards giraffe, and my friend Haggis trying one of the 3
metre giraffes and not knowing how to get down (he clung desperately to a
flagpole, then shinned down it).

It’s great to finally hear from somebody in DK here on the internet! I’ve been
waiting for Jean to get “connected” for a long time now, because I know he’s had
a computer. Anyway, welcome to the wonderful electronic unicycle world. Please
extend my greetings to Jean, and invite him to join us here.

It’s always interesting for us to hear what’s going on with your Danish
activities, and I’ve always wanted to attend a Round Tower Rally, but I don’t
know if I will ever be able to. On the other hand, this is your year to try to
bring a Danish group to your first UNICON. We have yet to welcome any DK riders
in over 10 years of UNICONs, and this year would be your best chance ever. I
hope you can bring a whole team!

It sounds like something Jack Halpern would have. It should be easier to ride
than a “D” shaped wheel, no?

Seriously, I think a lot would have to do with how the crank arms are positioned
in relation to the corners on the square, and just how sharp those corners are.
In any case, I can’t imagine it being a very comfortable ride at all!

Re: Hi from Denmark

High Doctor Cyclone… Well well on the internet for the first time in my
50 years of life experience. UNINFO :The Roundtower Uniracer Rally will take
place the 4 of May 96…so please send out the message to the world (we will
also do it ourself.) Hope to see all of USA there…we need some fair and strong
conpetion !!! The winter is here…Ice and windy storms…the oceans are all
frozen so perhaps soon we can unicycle over to you or the UNICON VIII in Great
Britain soon !! Well serious now…We or at least Circus ChangHigh will not
(sorry) come to UNICON VIII this year. The time is one of my most busiest. But I
will tell it to the Copenhagen Unicycle Club members and Maybe one or all of
them can afford to come…who knows.? The circus will be very busy this
year…Copenhagen being the city of culture this year and we, all the local
street performers are at the moment working on a large project called CIRCUS
NARIUM (Circus Foolium) ??? coming from the word “experimentarium”. Give our
greeting to your loved one and stay in cosmic harmony on top of the wheel of
Life and may your divine guardian guide you all through the labyrinth of love.
When will you be father ?..Do you know that I got a loving Prince of Peace
last august, named Kenan. Agner is our specialist in Cyberspace contact, so you
will have do with that…for the moment… I will be out of reach on the
electronic chip chat board, but my fax is working in emergency.(when the Mac is
on ) Yours sincerely, a friend Jean Ascher
