Heyy check out my new (card) trick

lol no i don’t believe he can ride a unicycle. But since when is a unicyclist be less intelligent than a magician?

Well it looks like you quickly count 10 or 12 or whatever cards each time you put one of the chosen cards back, and never realy shake well.

^^way off. No counting involved. Thanks for guessing though

i respect the fact that you hate magicians…but give me a break. There are no special effects involved, no camera editing, no counting, and no “mechanisms”…its simply a sleight of hand. Its not like i made myself disapear into thin air (although i wish i could), its simply a card trick. The reason the trick is daring is because it would be very easy to be caught if not performed perfectly. You’ll understand what i mean if someone comes moderately close to guessing how its done. WATCH CLOSELY…pay attention to things you might not normally look out for

Okay, that was sweet.
Could you please PM how you did it?
I swear I won’t tell.

i would feel bad about giving you special priviledges. But i promise, if someone comes even SLIGHTLY close to guessing how its done i will explain the whole trick in detail. Because i’m not the magician that GKmac thinks i am. I don’t keep my secrets from everyone. I guess you could say i’m a bad magician.

Watch some card trick videos or instructions that teach how to do the trick. They’ll give away the secret and demonstrate how it’s done. You don’t need to do video effects or editing to do a card trick. You’ll learn to deprogram your thinking and realize that tricks like that can be done live and genuine.

The how-to videos will also show that some of the slight of hand necessary for some tricks can be quite risky to do if you are not very well practiced at them. If you do it wrong the trick will fail or the audience will see the obvious attempt at slight of hand.

I think Instructables has some video and instructions for card tricks. Google video and YouTube probably also have some too. I don’t collect those sorts of links (though I’ve seen them) so I can’t point you to the good ones. Anyone have some good links?

I’m thinking two major components are the bottom of the deck and your left hand.

There’s a couple unmasked ones :sunglasses: . Fortunately most people you perform card tricks (i mean skills) in front of probably haven’t seen those videos.

Good observation! You’re right on the money. i suppose i’ll spill the beans here because you are right on…and i’d like more than anything to prove that gkmac hasn’t got a clue what he is talking about. (Thanks John by the way)

i’ll explain the trick as if it were being performed on a spectator (Because it can be done live)

I would spread the cards out and ask the spectator to choose any two, which are revealed. I then take the first card, and pretend to lose it in the deck. What i’m actually doing is controlling it to the bottom. (if you watch very closely to that particular moment you’ll see it). After controlling it to the bottom i palm it off the bottom of the deck w/ my left hand using a technique called tenkai palm. I would then place the deck down and ask the spectator to shuffle. While they are shuffling i put the first card into my pocket (which explains why my hand goes off camera). Then i repeat the process for the 2nd one. But while the spectator is shuffling the deck the second time…i bring both of the cards out together in tenkai palm. I spread the deck using my right hand and ask the spectator to choose any two cards that might be the orginals. I then pick them up and bring them into my left hand which already conceals the two originals. Then i have 4 cards that appear to be 2. I slide the top and bottom card off to one side…and then separate the two pairs…and it appears as though i only have two cards, the originals.

I completely disagree with you on the ego thing. What about magicians who are magicians for a living? they are trying to earn a living, not to simply boost their ego. Its fun for everyone when some one starts doing magic tricks

i have access to tons of tutorials. www.magicianschool.com . You have to make 10 quality posts before being allowed in the tutorial section, but from there you can learn tons of tricks. Many tutorial videos on you tube aren’t given accurate tags…simply for the sake of hiding the secrets. But if you are desperate enough you can find the answer to any trick.

best card trick in the world

best card trick in the world response

best card trick in the world revealed

But it’s not a very good reveal. He doesn’t show what the slight of hand technique is. Just says that it’s there. Showing the technique for the double flip or double lift would show that it is a risky maneuver. It’s easy for it to go wrong if the person is not very well practiced at it. So the explanation makes it look like an easier trick to do than it is.

^yup thats a good trick…i wouldn’t say its the best trick in the world…i like the other trick i posted in the JC part of the forum more honestly. The one you posted is called “red hot mamasita” haha

But just like you said a trick like that requires a lot of practice and confidence. You have to pick up two cards and show them as one. The hardest part of a trick like that is the patter that you use.

ahhh i watched tho top 2 and i know how he does it

good trick

Nice trick, it fooled certainly me.

I don’t know, that one seemed extremely obvious.

I didn’t call it the best card trick in the world. The guy on YouTube did. It’s a video I saw a couple months ago. Still a neat trick but not the most amazing of card tricks.
