Hey look ... the Mini will fit a ...

Check it out:

In the top navigation select: The Mini -> Cooper -> Multiple choice
In Navigator (far right) select: Roomy Sensation (the dot where the passenger should be seated)
This should bring you to a page with the title ‘Space-o-mat’ and 5 picture thumbnails at the bottom.
Select the 5th thumbnail and lo and behold look what’s in the back seat …

But look what else fits in a mini

  1. A couple with plenty of Space to get it on after a romantic picnic
  2. One guy out on business
  3. A family complete with fighting kids
  4. Young people on the way to a party, one is hitting a bong in the front seat
  5. and of course the random sports equipment including a uni, for you and
your girlfriend on your way to a potluck (don’t spill that cassorole)

I just thik it’s kind of funny, but yes the new mini is darn cool, I’d
buy one if I could, but will my giraffe fit?

Carl,

Excellent find, I wonder if it has anything to do with the thread earlier on
this year about fitting unicycles in a Mini.

A quicker link to the page is:

My brother-in-law just moved into a house next to a guy who has a 1961 Mini
in his garage (along with a 1960’s Triumph and a 1953 Austin Healey). Cool!

But of course it’s a Mini. It’s just not the old Mini. Ever seen a 1979
Thunderbird? How do you compare that to the 1955, or 2003 Thunderbirds? But
they’re all Thunderbirds. Some Thunderbirds are just a lot cooler than
others.

John Foss,
fan of the old Mini

Thunderbirds are all made by Ford, not BMW.
Real Minis are not made by BMW.

mini
n. (pl. minis )

  1. Something that is distinctively smaller than other members of its type or
    class.
  2. A miniskirt
    (dictionary.com)

That BMW thing is roughly the size of a VW Golf.

It’s not a bad car. It’s just not a Mini. Not by any definition.

I’ll be surprised if there are many BMW MINI fans in 40 years’ time…
… And if they manage to sell 5.3 Million of them.

Isetta…now THAT’S a real BMW.
