hey guys...

i didnt want to make a new thread, but…

do unicycles have brakes? or do u just pedal backwards?

Hey can anyone do this?

No. Direct drive, you just stop pedaling. Brakes are add-ons for people who know why they need them.

LX is a good choice on the cheap. What’s a good pogostick on the cheap?

What a coincidence, I pogo too! I had a Master until I broke the handle off, now I’m looking for a GG (not much luck).I switched over to unicycling because I don’t have a stick anymore. I’m still a beginner so I can only do stairs, 180 X spin, 360 X spin, eagle, and bodywrap. Xpogo.com is what inspired me to pogo. As far as unicycles go, I have a Torker CX and its doing just fine. I bought it for about $60-70 bucks off eBay. I’m 6 foot, 135 lbs and its holding up just fine off drops and off-road. If you have a little more money ($260) then I would go with the Torker DX. I’m probably going to buy this one once I get really good. It really depends on what kind of riding you want to do. This site has a lot of unicycles you can order. http://www.unicycle.com/shopping/shopdisplaysubcat.asp?id=1&cat=Unicycles
However, you might wanna look on eBay first for lower prices.

a good, cheap stick is a super pgoo, which can be bought off pogosticks.com. the spring is really tight, so if your not experienced, you wont be able to jump on it well.

you can buy a foam master at toys r us for 30, but they suck, unless you mod them like i do. my modded sticks last about 5x longer than unmodded sticks.

as far as other sticks go, a motostik and flybar 800 are 200, while the vurtego is 350-400.

thats what im bidding on

How did you mod them?

have you tried trials pogo sticking? that would be pretty cool to go up stairs and stuff.

my pogo broke, but yeah i can go up stairs
i haven’t tried anything more extreme than that, except no handed pogo sticking…but its not too hard

jumping up stairs and no hands isnt extreme pogoing…

i reinforce the handlebars, pegs, and some other stuff so they dotn break.

Can you define “extreme pogo-ing” for me, please? Not certain tricks that are extreme, but a clear, concise definition of what exactly is the difference between “extreme pogo-ing”.

didnt u watch that video of me?

or any other video on xpogo.com?

doing no hands and jumping up stairs step by step is being a little retarded 9 year old kid…

jumping down a 10 set (the whole thing, not step by step) is extreme pogoing.

no hands is just REALLY easy and stupid…

Uh-oh guys, looks like I offended the Big Bad Pogo-master…

Being “extreme” is completely subjective. To people who have never seen unicycling, a unicyclist riding is “extreme” to them. To me, not using hands is “extreme”, because I probably couldn’t do it without a lot of practice.

Chill out.

im not offended, i was just saying…

and why am i the “big bad pogo master” i can call you the “big bad unicyclist” and to me that would be offending.

are you tryin to say something?

…What the hell. Guys, cool it. Do we really need to get the rulers out to settle this?

I’m pretty sure the definition of extreme is similar to in unis. Jumping up a curb is probably not what anyone would call extreme, and hopping up stairs isn’t really any more than that done lots of times. I certainly don’t think hopping up stairs is extreme, and I can’t even do that yet. Now the stuff in trials videos where you hop pretty long distances, fly off of pretty crazy places, and sink interesting landings is a bit more extreme.

hey guys… how you been? yea i broke my unicycle a while ago jumping off a ledge… crank snapped… sucked. but ive been pogoing alot. check out my preview for the new video.

got any sick new uni videos out i can take a look at?

Yes, here:

Sorry, im not pogo dude, but you can get them here:

Peace.

I would that you two would have just cancelled the existence of the word “extreme”, and even the letter X.

The word extreme is over used, played out, watered down to the point where a 12 year old on a frickin’ scooter has the ability to be called extreme.

Dan Osman is spinning in his grave right now.

You kids get off my lawn!

man, for my birthday, i got a vurtego pro pogostick (almost a month ago). I haven’t had a chance to ride it much due to rain and back problems (and being busy making a unicycle video) but yeah… its fun stuff. I want to get sort of into it.

The only time ‘extreme’ should be used is in reference to this fine television program:
