I have to do a project at school and i have chsen to do it on unicycling and poi! The only problem is i havent collected much info on these two circus skills. so i was wondering if you could help me with any info you have. i would greatly aprieciate it. the project has to be done on the 29th of november, so please hurry. what i need to know most is where unicycling originated from? please help me.
I have been doing poi for the past two years and can virtualy do everything now. My latest attempts at combining the two have not been too great tho. Soon as both poi are on one side of your body it becomes very difficult to stay up straight.
Try do basic weaves and also moves that are symetrical such as cork-screws and windmills. Search google for fire poi. Lots of stuff. — Let me know how it goes.
---->> I’m like the only guy in South Africa that ever tried it so would be great to bring in some new ideas.

I’ve done fire poi on a flaming unicycle a couple of times now. I’ve done weaves, behind the back weaves, butterfly with it all lit. Without it lit, corkscrews are fine, if a bit too likely to break down so I hit myself, I think I did arm wraps on it too.
Smaller wheel is easier as you don’t hit the wheel.
If you’re doing weaves behind the back, stand up whilst you’re doing it, it’s hard to do it high enough not to hit the wheel otherwise.
If you’re doing butterfly, keep it nice and high.
When you’re weaving, lean your body against the weave to keep the unicycle going in the same direction.
If you’re doing it somewhere people walk dogs, be aware that your average person will be quite scared of a bunch of vast flames heading towards them on an incredibly unstable vehicle.
If you manage to learn to do 180 turns with the weave on a unicycle, post some tips on here, I could only get them by dropping into straight spinning, doing the turn then back into the weave.
